About Us

We're a well-established and respected company specialising in power generation and emergency backup systems. We collaborate with some of the UK's largest businesses, delivering comprehensive power solutions and ongoing support.

Due to sustained growth, driven by strategic business advancements and future expansion plans, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work at sites across the UK.

The Role

As a Commissioning Engineer, you ll take ownership of complex commissioning projects installing, testing, modifying, and troubleshooting power generation systems. You ll be the technical expert on-site, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of new hardware, including power and control cabling
  • Modification of existing power generation systems
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification on generator control systems
  • System testing
  • Liaison with customers and other stakeholders
You
  • Have a background in power generation
  • Have extensive experience of commissioning plc control systems
  • Have good technical knowledge of gas and/or diesel generators
  • Be familiar with the principles of emergency generator operation & synchronisation, including knowledge of G59 and G99
  • Hold a valid CSCS or ECS Card
  • Hold a full valid driving licence
  • We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can use their initiative
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues is essential, as is a willingness to get fully involved in installation work
  • You will need to be able to work under pressure and to be flexible and able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
