Commis Waiter [Decimo]

As seen on BBC1 Master Chef and voted as one of London's Top 100 Restaurants; acclaimed chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias merges the Spanish cuisine of his family with his love of Mexico for his debut London restaurant, Decimo. Expect lots of flavour – open fire cooking, mezcal cocktails, and a dramatically different tortilla – exceptional design, floor-to-ceiling windows and dramatic views across the London skyline.

We are now looking to grow our team and are seeking a dynamic individual who will capture the energy of this restaurant and join our team as a Decimo Commis Waiter.

Your role

As a Commis Waiter you will become part of an exceptional restaurant team for Decimo and be largely responsible for Mise-en-Place to ensure the restaurant has sufficient quantities of cutlery and crockery for service, and making sure it is staged accordingly to entertain our guests. During service you will assist the senior restaurant team in the service of food from the kitchen, delivering it to the appropriate section for service.

Finally, and most importantly, you will be part of a team that adds a touch of personality and theatre to our guest experience, making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment, and be able to manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

• Prior experience in a similar role with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different background, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination fine dining restaurant or perhaps even a well know quality chain
• Highly social, motivated and proactive; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
• Available full-time, fully flexible Tuesday-Saturday, and late-night Thurs-Sat (2-3am)
• In addition to those with experience we are actively seeking candidates with a diverse range of lifestyle skills and welcome applications from those in the arts, music and entertainment industries
