Village Hotels in Farnborough is seeking a Commis Chef to learn, prep, and support the Head Chef in a high-volume kitchen, focusing on fundamentals and building a real culinary career.

You will work closely with the brigade to master basics, maintain hygiene, and deepen dish knowledge while supporting service. We offer training, opportunities for progression, and a welcoming, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• The Prep & The Line: supporting chefs on your section, controlling portions and temperatures.
• The Standards: maintaining cleanliness and following food hygiene regulations (FRESH, HACCP, EHO).
• The Product: knowing the menu and tasting dishes to understand what you cook.
• The Teamwork: clear communication with restaurant and banqueting teams to keep service moving.
