Hotel Indigo Cardiff is seeking a kitchen team member to join our lively kitchen and help deliver exceptional dishes across breakfast and dinner services.

You will work a combination of morning and evening shifts, maintain a clean workstation, and support the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure timely service and high standards. Training and growth opportunities are available within a supportive, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in cooking and enthusiasm for learning in a professional kitchen.
• Some previous kitchen experience is a plus, but willingness to learn is essential.
• Understanding of basic food prep techniques and a commitment to improving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, especially cleanliness and food safety.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to take direction and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organised workstation and follow hygiene standards.
• Bring creativity to plates, ensuring presentation and taste meet high standards.
• Work closely with kitchen and restaurant teams to deliver dishes on time.
• Prepare ingredients for various dishes and ensure breakfast and dinner service runs smoothly.
• Keep the kitchen flowing by prepping and organising efficiently.
• Assist with kitchen inventory and stock levels, informing managers when supplies are low.
