Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader at Hotel Indigo Cardiff to lead our team of chefs and drive high standards across kitchen operations. You will work closely with the Food, Beverage & Kitchen Manager to maintain quality, hygiene and efficiency, from prep to service.

The role offers 35 hours over 5 days with a mix of mornings and evenings, and a salary in the mid-range for hospitality leadership roles. Benefits are provided as part of our rewards package.

Qualifications

• Previous chef leadership experience requested.
• Strong team management and communication skills required.
• Flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

• Up-to-date food safety and hygiene knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all chefs in daily operations.
• Ensure dish quality, presentation and consistency meet guest expectations.
• Assist with stock planning, control and ordering.
• Maintain health and safety and food hygiene practices across the department.
• Assist with menu development across breakfast, dinner and events.
• Train and mentor chefs, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with restaurant and bar teams for seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor kitchen financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
