Job summary

The Cork in Bath, part of Young's Pubs, is seeking a enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen. You will work with a friendly team, deliver fresh food with passion, and help maintain high standards in a welcoming pub environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commis Chef or in a kitchen role with a passion for fresh food.
• Willingness to learn, strong teamwork, and excellent communication.
• Commitment to high standards and good work ethic.
• Ability to plan and organise day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with the kitchen team to deliver top quality service.
• Demonstrate creativity in menu execution and food presentation.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
• Support senior chefs and participate in daily prep and service.

What we look for in a Commis Chef:

We are looking for an existing Commis Chef, an excellent Kitchen Porter or an individual looking for their next step to their hospitality career, who consider themselves to have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Commis Chef you will:

• Be an active hands-on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team
• Have high standards and a great work ethic
• Show willingness to learn new skills; be an active team player with excellent communication skills
• Working alongside your kitchen team; you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day to day tasks
