Join us as a Commercial Manager, where you’ll play a key role in pricing our savings and insurance products to drive effective business performance and deliver positive customer outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact area of the business and help shape its future.

To be successful as a Commercial Manager, you should have experience with:
  1. Previous experience in product / commercial / pricing / Profit & Loss management roles
  2. Data-led approach with the ability to interpret and analyze multiple sources of complex data into actionable insights
  3. Strategic mindset, capable of relating current activities to the bigger picture
  4. Knowledge of risk and control processes and adherence to them
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Valued Skills Include:
  1. Understanding of products/services in the Savings, Protection, and Mortgage sectors
  2. Knowledge of retail market trends, interest rate movements, and competitive landscape
  3. Awareness of macroeconomics and its impact on interest rates and consumer banking behavior
  4. Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  5. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  6. Ability to understand organizational dynamics and stakeholder diversity

This is a hybrid role based in Northampton, Canary Wharf, Glasgow, or Manchester.

Purpose of the role

To drive the success of the commercial banking segment through market analysis, product development, sales, relationship management, risk management, and performance.

Accountabilities
  1. Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and develop strategies to increase market share
  2. Create pricing models for various products ensuring profitability and competitiveness
  3. Develop and manage innovative financial solutions tailored to the commercial banking segment
  4. Forge strategic partnerships to expand product offerings and reach new clients
  5. Manage relationships within target companies to understand needs and propose solutions
  6. Develop and implement sales strategies, including setting targets and identifying channels
  7. Monitor key metrics like client acquisition, loan volume, and revenue to assess performance
