Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust in Cornwall is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across Estates and Facilities.

The post holder will develop new opportunities, build relationships with NHS partners and private sector clients, and lead a commercially focused strategy to maximise income from services such as the Food Production Unit (Sustentation), retail catering, accommodation and conference/event spaces including the Knowledge Spa.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing new commercial opportunities, preferably in healthcare or NHS settings.
• Ability to engage internal and external partners to grow revenue streams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and grow the Directorate's commercial portfolio.
• Build strategic relationships with internal and external partners.
• Identify innovative ways to generate additional income for the Trust.
• Lead the creation and embedding of a commercially focused development function.
• Engage with NHS partners and private sector clients to build a sustainable pipeline.
• Communicate complex commercial information to diverse stakeholders.
