Qualifications

• Time-served technician with strong experience working on vans, light commercials, or multi-brand fleets.
• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle or Commercial Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• MOT licence Class 4 & 7 preferred, but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled fleet servicing, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections across light commercial vehicles and vans.
• Execute heavy mechanical repairs, including brake system overhauls, clutch replacements, timing belts, suspension, and steering work.
• Utilize commercial diagnostic scan tools to read fault codes, troubleshoot driveability issues, and reset service systems.
• Log detailed technical notes on job sheets and keep fleet service managers updated on vehicle downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with commercial safety standards, DVSA guidelines, and workshop health regulations.

Handling everything from heavy mechanical maintenance and safety inspections to fleet servicing and fault diagnostics, this facility provides high-capacity bays, heavy-duty tooling, and a steady year-round workload.

What We Need From You

• Experience: Time-served technician with strong experience working on vans, light commercials, or multi-brand fleets
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle or Commercial Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served background)
• MOT Status: Holding a Class 4 & 7 MOT licence is preferred (commands higher starting pay), but is not essential to apply
• Mindset: Dependable, hard-working mechanic focused on reliable repairs and minimizing fleet downtime
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
