Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service, repair, and maintain vans and light commercial vehicles in Egham. You will diagnose faults using modern equipment and prepare vehicles for MOT, while keeping accurate service records and ensuring safety standards.

The role offers Monday–Friday hours with optional overtime, a competitive salary, and progression within a large nationwide business. A relevant qualification and full UK driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Job Title: Vehicle Technician (Vans) – Location: Egham – Salary: £39,729 Basic Salary (£45,729 OTE) – Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with optional overtime)

About the Role

Our client is one of the UK's leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.
