Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on experience as an LCV Technician or vehicle mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on diesel vans and commercial vehicles.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to manage workload with limited supervision.

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Holiday: 28 days' annual leave

We're recruiting for an experienced LCV Technician to join an established in-house commercial vehicle workshop.

This is a permanent position maintaining and repairing a company's own commercial van fleet. There are no retail customers and no regular weekend rota - your focus will be keeping vehicles maintained, compliant and on the road.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vans and LCVs.

Duties will include:

• Servicing and maintaining the van and LCV fleet
• Mechanical repairs and general maintenance
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Brakes, suspension, steering and electrical repairs
• Preparing vehicles for MOT
• Identifying defects and completing repairs
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
• Responding to breakdowns where required
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced LCV Technician with:

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience as an LCV Technician or vehicle mechanic
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work independently
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on diesel vans and commercial vehicles
• Relevant mechanical qualifications preferred
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to manage workload without constant supervision
• Pride in their work and understanding of the importance of vehicle uptime
