Job summary

Brown & Brown UK is seeking a Commercial Claims Handler to join our team, ensuring a high level of client care when claims are needed. You will work closely with the team and external stakeholders to keep everyone informed of claim status and to obtain or provide additional information as required.

This role covers day-to-day handling of commercial claims including property, motor and liability, advising clients, liaising with insurers and progressing claims through to settlement.

Qualifications

• Sound working knowledge of Commercial Insurance and policy wordings.
• Strong communication (written, verbal) and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and empathise with clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle all allocated claims, create records and files, chase clients/insurers for documents.
• Progress claims to a satisfactory conclusion and arrange loss adjusters/engineers when needed.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and issue settlement cheques where appropriate.
• Produce claims statistics and reports for Directors/Account Executives/Handlers.
