Brown & Brown UK is seeking an experienced Claims Executive/Manager to join the team at the Billericay office. You will manage client claims across personal and commercial lines, mentor staff, and develop a capable claims team in a client-facing role.

The position requires strong claims knowledge, technical aptitude, and a readiness to take on broader responsibilities and leadership within a well-established broker. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Proven long term experience working in a claims environment across broking, insurer or loss adjusting.
• General insurance claims experience spanning cross-class personal lines and commercial products.
• Technically minded and able to take referrals for technical opinion from peers/direct reports.
• ACII level desirable but not essential.
• Desire to mentor and coach junior team members.

Responsabilités

• Manage/handle allocated client claims, including creating records and files, chasing documents, and settling where appropriate.
• Appoint loss adjusters/engineers and negotiate settlements with insurers.
• Produce statistics, reports and information as required.
• Establish close links with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, engineers and other parties.
• Attend client meetings with Account Executives and adhere to complaints procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FCA requirements and company procedures, including health and safety.
