Overview

Commercial Broker / Underwriter - Leeds City Centre

This is an excellent opportunity with a quality insurance brokerage based in Leeds City Centre, a short walk from the station and located in a modern and appealing office, although they are currently working on a flexible basis due to Covid.

Despite the recent uncertainty, our client has continued to post excellent results across the business and has been recruiting additional staff throughout the pandemic and continues to do so. They are well set up in terms of flexible working and have a dynamic team of talented individuals and a highly effective and down to earth management team.

This is a commercial insurance role, working within a small team with a focus on dealing with existing clients, mid-term adjustments, marketing renewals and speaking to clients and insurers on a daily basis. You will be supporting a team of account executives based throughout the UK.

Responsibilities
  • This is a commercial insurance role, working within a small team with a focus on dealing with existing clients, mid-term adjustments, marketing renewals and speaking to clients and insurers on a daily basis. You will be supporting a team of account executives based throughout the UK.
  • As well as broking, you will also be providing underwriting support using delegated underwriting authority on certain commercial insurance schemes, of which you will be fully trained.
Qualifications
  • This role requires applicants to have at least 12 months commercial insurance experience from a broking or an underwriting environment. You will be professional and client focused with excellent communication skills, able to work well in a team environment.
  • Previous use of Acturis would be beneficial and CII studies will be fully supported.
