Job description

As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD youll be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Serving as the first point of contact for our customers providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels
  • Starting your shift at the depot where youll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne van
  • Following a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveries
  • Safely operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
  • Accurately scanning and recording parcel information using handheld devices
  • Collecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customers
  • Promptly reporting any delivery issues vehicle problems or customer concerns to your supervisor
  • Maintaining a clean and organised van conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance needs
  • Adapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordingly
  • Collaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting
  • Wearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty

This role requires a strong commitment to customer service attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Your dedication to timely and accurate deliveries will be crucial in maintaining DPDs reputation for excellence in the logistics industry.

Held a full UK driving licence and had regular driving experience for 12 months or more
