Overview

CNC Sliding Head, Programmer, Setter in Welwyn Garden City. Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per year (Twilight Shift).

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate sliding head lathes (Citizen, Toros, or Star) to manufacture a range of one-off and small-batch high-precision plastics components, and metals as required.
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Work under own initiative and provide problem-solving input.
• Use basic measuring equipment and work to fine tolerances.
• Maintain good health and safety practices in the workshop.

Package & Hours

On offer is a generous negotiable package with some of the highest rates in the area, subject to experience: £45,000 - £50,000 per year plus overtime and benefits. 25 days + 8 public holidays per year, pension scheme.

Hours (Twilight Shift): Monday to Wednesday 1:30pm to midnight, Thursday 1:30pm to 11:00pm – 39 hours. Overtime: time and a third mid-week, time and a half Saturday, double time Sunday. Time-keeping bonus is also available.
