Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a CNC Miller in Dartford to set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls, manufacturing precision engineering parts from aluminium and stainless steel. The role requires interpreting technical drawings and ensuring accuracy through precise measurement.

The successful candidate will use gauges, verniers, and micrometres to inspect parts and maintain strict quality standards, with shift patterns and attractive leave/benefit package available.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to use measuring tools and gauges.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
• Familiar with Fanuc or Haas control systems.
• Experience with 5-axis milling operations and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC 5-axis milling machines with Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Work with aluminium and stainless steel components.
• Change tools and adjust offsets as required.
• Ensure high quality by inspecting parts with gauges, verniers, and micrometres.

Location: Dartford

Type of work: permanent

Salary: £64,584 per annum inclusive of shift allowance

Working hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 6.30 pm to 6:30 am

We are now seeking a CNC Milling setters to work for an Engineering & Manufacturing company based in Dartford. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls to manufacture precision engineering products.

Responsibilities of CNC Miller

• Setting and operating CNC 5 axis Milling machines with Fanuc controls
• Working on technical engineering drawings
• Working with aluminium and stainless steel
• Ability to use measuring tools
• Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometres.

Requirement of CNC Miller

• Ideally, previous experience in setting and operating CNC Milling machines with Fanuc or Haas controls
• Ideally apprentice trained or equivalent or time served
• Ability to change tools and adjust offsets
• Ability to use measuring tools
