Job summary

April Recruitment are working with a reputable client in Luton (LU3) who require a CNC Miller Setter Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. The position offers £32,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) with 40 hours a week.

You will set and operate up to 5-axis machinery, read and interpret technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments. Programming is advantageous but not essential, and experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position.
• Must be PC literate.
• Must be able to work to tight tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Job description

We are working with a reputable client based in Luton (LU3) who require a CNC Miller Setter Operator to join their team.

The position is a permanent role paying £32,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm or 8am - 6pm (40 hours per week)

28 days holiday (including bank holidays) + Peoples Pension.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working within an engineering environment. The right candidate will also have good CNC Miller Setting and Operating experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting and operating up to 5 axis machinery
• Must be able to read and interpret technical information
• The ability to programme would be an advantage but is not essential
• Familiar with managing and operating Fanuc controls
• Ability to use a range of precision measuring instruments
• Quality checking components
• Other general duties when required

Key Requirements
