Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking an experienced CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter and Operator to join a precision engineering team in Dartford. You will program, set up and run CNC milling machines across 3-axis and 5-axis centres, reading engineering drawings and ensuring parts meet exacting tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller with programming, setting, and operating responsibilities.
• Experience working with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Knowledge of GD&T and reading complex engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines.
• Work with both 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres.
• Produce precision-engineered components to specification.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Understand and apply geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Carry out inspections using a variety of measuring equipment.
• Select and utilise appropriate cutting tools for efficient machining processes.
• Work in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

About the Role

Our Client is seeking an experienced CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, and Operator to join their growing engineering team in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work within a precision manufacturing environment, producing high-quality components to exacting standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, working across both 3-axis and 5-axis equipment. This role requires a strong technical understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines.
• Work with both 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres.
• Produce precision-engineered components to specification.
