We are looking for a Clinical Trials Assistant to support the delivery of innovative clinical studies within the Emergency Department, Women and Childrens Research, and the Medical Assessment Unit at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust.
As a Clinical Trials Assistant, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of research studies from start‑up through to completion. Your responsibilities will include patient identification, recruitment, and follow‑up, ensuring trials run smoothly and patients receive the highest standard of care. Full study‑specific training will be provided to equip you with the skills and confidence needed to support our research nurse teams.

The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites.
NHS Band 3: Salary £24,937 - £26,598 per annum.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week.
Phlebotomy skills are desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Previous research experience is an advantage but not required, as comprehensive in‑house training and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification will be offered.
