A healthcare provider in Middlesbrough is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to assess patient nutritional needs and support dietetic care. Applicants should have a relevant nutrition qualification or experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within a busy healthcare environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person, with excellent communication skills to join our team based at The James Cook University Hospital site.
This is a busy role so candidates will need to be highly motivated and have a flexible approach to their role to ensure the needs of the service are met. You will need to be able to work under pressure using your own initiative.
It is vital that you have strong and confident communication skills when liaising with patients, carers and relatives and other health care professionals and the ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of professionals working across health and social care. This post also offers exciting opportunities for continued development in a well-established service.
You will need to be able to demonstrate knowledge and an interest in nutrition through qualification or relevant experience.
This role supports an already established team of dietitians and discharge coordinators who manage patients who are tube fed at home.
Working within defined scope of practice and service guidelines, key aspects of this role will include:
Full training will be provided but candidates must have a relevant qualification and must be able to demonstrate nutrition knowledge as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.
We are part of the South Tees Nutrition and Dietetic service working across The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland community, Friarage Hospital Northallerton and Hambleton & Richmondshire communities. Occasional travel between sites will be necessary.
