Brunel Health Group is a collaborative of over 20 GPpractices across 9 Primary Care Networks, delivering services at scale forpatients across Swindon and Shrivenham. With opportunities to grow increasingas health care is transferred from acute service provision to primary andcommunity care settings, there is a need for someone dedicated to ensuring we complywith key quality standards and regulations across an expanding serviceportfolio.
We are looking for someone who could provide 10 hours ofsupport each week to build, enhance and develop our existing processes andprocedures concerning clinical governance and safeguarding .

The main purpose of the role is to support the Research and Development Manager and the Senior Management Team of Brunel Health Group in the development and implementation of clinical governance systems across BHG, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, and continuously improving care. The postholder will coordinate governance activities, including incident reporting, policy development, audit cycles, risk registers, and regulatory compliance, working closely with clinical leads and operational managers. In addition, there will be some responsibilities relating to the monitoring of any safeguarding issues highlighted through the services BHG delivers
Brunel Health Group is a collaborative of over 20 GP practices across 9 Primary Care Networks, delivering services at scale for patients across Swindon and Shrivenham. We have a small core team providing a range of management and support functions for our member practices, enabling services to be delivered at scale including our very successful Saturday Clinics all year round and the Children and Young People Acute Respiratory Infection ( ARI) Hub during the winter months. Due to our size, we aim to be agile and flexible, with the ability to work at home and at our dedicated host sites. With the increasing focus on delivering services in primary and community settings, there is a real potential to develop experience and competencies across the health and care system.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Thissummary of duties and responsibilities is not exclusive and may vary from timeto time under direction of the Brunel Research and Development Manager or theMedical Director and the Operations Manager for Enhanced Access , and will bedependent on current and evolving workload, priorities, and staffing levels.
Assistin the provision of comprehensive and timely clinical governance supportservice for Brunel Health Group, following all relevant operational policies,procedures and guidelines;
Ensurean accurate and timely maintenance of the BHG central register/Database forpolicies, standard operating procedures and processes as well as relevantclinical guidelines;
Ensurethat all policies and procedures that are close to their expiration date arereviewed and updated so that they remain effective for the duration including (but not exclusively) Clinical Audit, Infection Control, Consent, SafeguardingAdults and Children, Safety Alerts, any other relevant policies;
Supportthe monitoring and co-ordination of any information and documentation relatingto clinical governance and data protection including Data Sharing Agreementsand Data Privacy Impact Assessments.
Assistin producing data, statistical information and reports in a manner that meetsall national, regional and local requirements using the data bases asappropriate and communicating results i.e quality;
SupportBHG as directed with any clinical incident investigations, including completionof root cause analysis;
SupportBHG services with co-ordination of Incident Report Management including significantevents and ensuring that any action agreed to address specific issues isimplemented through the delivery of an action plan and learning shared;
SupportBHG Services with data collection and monitoring of any safeguarding incidentsthat are highlighted through the delivery of BHG services.
Producean annual report on any significant events relating to the services BHGdelivers, identifying any key themes etc upon which BHG can improve;
Support BHG in preparingfor any CQC visits etc;
Manage,Monitor and update the BHG Risk register;
Supportthe Research and Development Manager to deliver operational governanceobjectives and projects;
Ensurethat all staff employed within BHG are up to date with their mandatory trainingand have had an annual appraisal, ensuring appropriate records are maintainedand individuals notified if training or appraisals are outstanding;
Ensurethat clinical audits are diarised and a cyclical programme of audit establishedacross the financial year, including repeat audits as needed and support theResearch and Development manager in report writing detailing audit outcomes andchanges in practice.
Supportthe Research and Development Manager in the circulation of any Central AlertSystem notifications that are pertinent to the services delivered and supportedby BHG;
Beaware of any local resources or information relating to clinical governance orsafeguarding and disseminate to colleagues and BHG members as appropriate.
Completeother ad-hoc duties as and when required, operationally.
Thepost holder must be able to use their own initiative, be self motivated andhave the ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintain a high qualitystandard of work.

Workon own initiative to achieve expected results guided by peers or externalreference points, policies and standard operating procedures and legislation;
Manageworkload unsupervised and prioritise work on a day to day basis.
