Job description

St David's is a welcoming nursing home located in Ealing, known for its quality care. The facility features 76 bedrooms and offers a range of services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, and provides respite and day care for individuals over the age of 18.

For the position, you will be required to provide a caring and professional ethos, have a good clinical background, and hold a current up-to-date NMC pin.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Be responsible for the day-to-day care of residents, delegating roles to nursing and care staff as appropriate.
2. Provide clinical supervision to the Registered Nurses, ensuring they obtain and maintain the necessary clinical competencies.
3. Act as a Shift Team Leader, providing supervision and development for care staff.
4. Contribute to the training of care staff and other team members, acting as a role model.
5. Participate in personal and professional development opportunities, attending mandatory training as needed.
6. Ensure the Gold Care standards and support systems are effectively operated, leading to positive outcomes for service users.
7. Monitor, audit, and review the service, taking corrective actions where necessary.
8. Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership, maintaining relevant professional memberships.
9. Assist the Home Manager with staff supervision, appraisal, and ongoing informal assessments to uphold high standards.
10. Implement and adhere to Gold Care’s policies, procedures, legal requirements, and codes of practice.
11. Assist with staff recruitment, performance management, and deployment to ensure high-quality care.
12. Oversee maintenance contractors and other personnel involved in property, plant, and equipment upkeep.
13. Promote the service through effective communication with stakeholders, including residents, staff, relatives, professionals, regulators, and the community.
14. Represent the home professionally in the community, maintain private bed occupancy, and support marketing efforts.
15. Ensure all staff focus on excellent customer care to enhance residents' lives and uphold Gold Care’s reputation.
16. Perform any other duties relevant to the business of Gold Care Homes.
