Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major UK water sector programme. Based in Coventry with Derby opportunities, you will join a client-side commercial team seconded into Severn Trent to help manage a large portfolio of capital works.

You will oversee commercial and contractual management across NEC-based projects, lead cost control and forecasting, and work closely with delivery teams to drive value and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Experience of NEC3/NEC4 contracts is essential.
• Strong cost management, forecasting and reporting skills.
• Experience managing change and compensation events.
• Water/Utilities infrastructure exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual management across projects under NEC contracts.
• Lead cost control, forecasting and budget management.
• Assess contractor applications and valuations; report findings.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and delivery teams.
• Negotiate compensation events and project changes.
• Review Defined Cost and support commercial decisions.
• Oversee procurement and tender evaluation.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and reporting.
• Support resolution of contractual issues and claims.
• Manage projects through to final account.
• Build relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
