Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. in the UK is recruiting Quantity Surveyors to support a major water sector investment programme. You will be seconded into Severn Trent, joining a client-side commercial team managing a portfolio of capital works across the Midlands.

The role involves providing commercial and contractual support from NEC3/NEC4 contracts through cost control, valuations and change management, with exposure to procurement and final accounts. Derby and Coventry-based, hybrid work pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
• Strong cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
• Experience with valuations, change management and compensation events
• Understanding of procurement and final accounts
• Experience in Water/Utilities/Civil Engineering or infrastructure environments
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related commercial discipline
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers and contractors

Responsibilities

• Support commercial and contractual management across a portfolio of projects
• Cost control, forecasting and budget management
• Assess contractor applications and payment valuations
• Support Project Managers with payment certification
• Manage and assess compensation events and project change
• Review Defined Cost and maintain commercial records
• Support procurement and tender evaluation
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk
• Monitor project performance and produce commercial reporting
• Assist with resolution of contractual issues and claims
• Assist with final account negotiation and settlement
• Develop relationships with contractors, delivery teams and stakeholders
