Job summary

Howden Group in the United Kingdom seeks an Associate Client Services Manager to lead and coach a client services team while continuing hands-on client work. You’ll help develop rising leaders, ensure delivery quality, and uphold risk controls in a hybrid work setting across key UK locations.

The role combines people leadership with technical client services delivery, offering growth toward a full Client Services Manager path within a collaborative, values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior or Principal Client Services Specialist.
• Strong technical understanding of Client Services activity and risk considerations.
• Emerging people leadership skills with a desire to develop further.
• Clear communicator with the ability to support and influence colleagues.
• Organised, dependable and professional in approach.

Responsibilities

• First-Line People Leadership: provide day-to-day support, guidance and supervision to allocated team members; act as a consistent point of contact for questions, prioritisation and escalation; deliver regular check-ins, coaching conversations and informal performance feedback; support new starters or developing colleagues; escalate issues to the line manager.
• Operational Delivery & Oversight: oversee quality, accuracy and timeliness of Client Services activity; support work allocation and prioritisation; review outputs and provide feedback; act as first escalation point for routine delivery issues.
• Technical & Specialist Contribution: continue to complete Senior/Principal-level activity, apply strong technical knowledge to support team problem-solving; handle complex cases; model quality and professionalism.
• Quality, Risk & Process Discipline: reinforce adherence to processes and standards; promote data quality; identify risks and escalate; support informal quality checks.
• Team Culture & Engagement: foster a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment; encourage learning and knowledge-sharing; model professional behaviour; support morale by being visible and approachable.
