Role

The role is to support the Director of Client Accounting and Reporting working on our Public REIT in delivering the financial accounting and reporting function for Regional REIT Limited.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing consolidated management accounts on a quarterly basis
  • Preparation and analysis of financial forecasts and cashflow forecasts
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Oversight of the preparation of indirect tax returns including VAT and CIS across the team.
  • Collaboration with Asset Management and Property Management teams on ad hoc queries/projects and supporting investment acquisition and disposals.
  • Regularly reviewing and challenging existing processes to identify efficiencies and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ICAS/ACCA preferable) with either practice or in-house experience (1-2 years post qualified).
  • Degree qualified in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Familiarity with UK and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Strong analytical ability and natural problem solver, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Financial accounting and control experience within the Real Estate fund's industry not essential but would be advantageous.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of implementation of efficiencies identified within operational/financial processes.
  • Strong project and relationship management skills and experience managing a third-party relationship with ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience dealing with audit teams and managing an audit process.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail oriented and thorough.
  • Commercially aware/professional.
  • Excellent IT skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Excel capability.
