Job Description

This post sits within the Consultancy Services section of the multi-disciplinary corporate asset management service and will be responsible for supervision and regular reporting of contracts under construction, ensuring an efficient and economic service and displaying the highest values of professionalism.

You will ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation and associated regulations, policy and procedures relating to contract procurement and asset management.

Ensure compliance with relevant statutory procedures and regulations and adherence to Council’s Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.

Working closely with the Senior Clerk of Works, architectural officers, architectural assistants, engineering officers and other key staff within the Asset Management structure on critical projects and initiatives that have an impact on the strategic aims of the Council including the advancement of sustainability in design, energy efficiency and carbon management issues.

The post holder will also engage with other organisations such as the CDM Coordinator (external), public utility companies and public bodies such as the HSE.
