Job summary

A leading facilities management provider in Belfast is seeking a Cleaning Operative to maintain a clean environment for clients and engineers. Responsibilities include floor maintenance, restroom cleaning, and waste management. Candidates should have previous experience in cleaning roles and a basic ability to communicate in English. This is a permanent position with a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, suction clean, mop, buff, and wax floors.
• Clean and remove stains from carpets.
• Clean body fluids/solids using appropriate methods.
• Clean toilet and shower areas, replenish toiletries.
• Dust ledges, walls, and internal surfaces.
• Empty and clean litter bins.
• Properly use and care for cleaning equipment.
• Complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform other duties assigned by Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, suction clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, spray wax, machine scrub and dry, strip and re-polish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean and remove stains of soft floor surfaces (carpets/matting) using the appropriate cleaning method.
• Clean body fluids/solids from time to time using the appropriate cleaning method.
• Clean toilet and shower areas including the fixtures and fittings and replenish toiletries.
• Clean, wash and dust ledges, walls, fixtures, fittings and internal surfaces. Polishing furniture where appropriate.
• Empty and clean internal litter bins and remove litter to the designated collection points.
• Use and care for any cleaning equipment issued in an appropriate and safe manner.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.
• Any other reasonable duties required by the Facilities Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the contract.

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar cleaning role.
• Demonstrate and be able to speak conversational English in order to follow instructions safely and effectively.
