Job summary

Sodexo Group is recruiting a Site-Based Cleaning Operative in Sunderland, working six hours per week with weekend or early-morning/evening flexibility for the right candidate. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards across the site, supporting residents and staff at an Approved Premises location.

Training will be provided, and the successful candidate will work with the security team to keep areas clean, stocked, and safe, while demonstrating a helpful, approachable attitude

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential - training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be a team player and take instruction.
• Able to work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You’ll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too
• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at National Probation Service, Pennywell Approved Premesis, Hylton Road Sunderalnd, SR4 8DS

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you’ll do:
