Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Site-Based Cleaning Operative at Approved Premises, Hull. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across the site, supporting health, hygiene, and resident comfort. The role involves detailed cleaning, replenishment of consumables, and close cooperation with the security team.

The position offers training, a supportive team environment, and rewards and benefits for you and your family; 18 hours per week, Monday–Friday shifts, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning is desirable but training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are important.
• Team player and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning tasks with attention to detail.
• Carry out periodic deep cleaning as directed by supervisor.
• Clean and present kitchens, toilets and communal areas.
• Replenish stock and consumables (toilet tissue, hand soap).
• Collaborate with security to report faults or hazards while maintaining cleanliness.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Approved Premise - 41 Queens Road, Hull. HU5 2QP. In this role, you'll play akey part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across thesite. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, andcomfort of the residents and staff at each site.

ApprovedPremises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison,offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within thecommunity.This role will give you insight into working in a residentialsetting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work thatsupports positive change.

What you’ll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You’ll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards..whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of theirareas too!
• This role requires you to have an approachableattitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
• Be a team player and take instruction
