Job summary

Sodexo Group in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join Victoria House, Hampshire Court. This part-time role involves 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:30–08:30, with a requirement to be aged 18 or over and provide photographic ID.

You’ll help maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. You'll carry out daily cleaning tasks, deep cleans as needed, monitor supplies, and work with the security team to report hazards.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable attitude with good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable team player who is happy to work with others and take guidance.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining high standards and adapting to changing priorities.
• Prior cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Take pride in your work by completing scheduled cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard.
• Carry out periodic deep cleans as required, keeping environments fresh and welcoming.
• Keep kitchens, toilets, communal areas and other facilities clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
• Monitor and replenish essential supplies, including toilet tissue and hand soap.
• Work closely with the security team, reporting faults, maintenance issues or hazards.
• Support the wider team in maintaining clean and presentable working areas.

Approved Premises provide essential support to individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation as they transition back into the community. What you'll do:

What you bring:
