Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at National Probation Service, Nelson House 1 Oxford Street, South Bank, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, TS6 6DF. In this role you will maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site, contributing to health, hygiene and comfort for residents and staff.

Training and uniform are provided, with flexible shifts around 6 hours per week. The position offers an hourly rate of £12.71.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, training provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed.
• Be a team player and take instruction.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You'll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards
• This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you’ll do:

What you bring:
