Job summary

Sodexo seeks a Site-Based Cleaning Operative for the National Probationary Service at Cuthbert House Approved Premises, Derwent Water Road, Bensham, NE8 2SH. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards for residents and staff across the site.

The role involves completing scheduled cleaning tasks, periodic deep cleans, stock replenishment, and working with the security team. Training is provided; age 18+ and valid ID are required.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is desirable, but training and uniform are provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Be a team player and take instruction, adapting to tasks as directed.
• Health and safety training will be provided during induction.

Responsibilities

• Focus on details and complete scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Periodic deep cleaning of areas as instructed by supervisor.
• Ensure kitchens, toilets and communal areas are cleaned and presentable.
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soap.
• Work closely with security, report faults or hazards and help maintain cleanliness of their areas.
• Approachable attitude is required.

12.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday- early morning/ evening can be flexible for right candidate

£12.71 per hour

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at National Probationary Service, Cuthbert House Approved Premises, Derwent Water Road, Bensham, NE8 2SH

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community.This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you'll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You’ll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards..whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of theirareas too!
• This role requires you to have an approachableattitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!

• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
• Be a team player and take instruction
