We at Mitie are offering a full time position as a Cleaning Operative at Clarks Village, Somerset.

Within the role you will join an established, professional team, maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of a large outdoor shopping centre in Street, Somerset. You will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order, meeting all agreed Service Level Agreements. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning areas, when work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to complete all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will need to be able to work within a team as well as working under your own initiative. Positive and productive working relationships with all customers must be built, ensuring to delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

The role includes many duties. These duties consist of but are not limited to:

  • Daily routine cleaning tasks
  • Routine patrolling
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Waste management
  • Machine use and many more.

The ideal candidate for the position is punctual, has high standards of personal hygiene and upkeep, can communicate and read basic English, has a Right to Work in the UK. Experience in cleaning is desirable but not mandatory. A flexible approach to the role is required. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
