Job summary

London Borough of Havering is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND, ADHD, autism and SEMH. The role focuses on implementing work programmes, leading targeted interventions, and working with teachers to differentiate lessons. A strong commitment to CPD, including HLTA qualification, is preferred.

36 hours/week over 39 weeks, with a comprehensive induction. Closing date 2 Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND children.
• Ability to differentiate in the classroom.
• Plan and run individual or group interventions.
• Demonstrate motivation, enthusiasm and teamwork.
• Willingness for Continued Professional Development (HLTA).

Responsibilities

• Support progress and development of pupils with SEND, ADHD, Autism and SEMH.
