Driver Hire Swindon in Purton, Wiltshire is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join a busy waste management and recycling operation. You will drive a Roll-On/Roll-Off vehicle to collect and deliver waste and recyclables safely.

This full-time, ongoing role has a temp-to-perm pathway. A safety-first attitude, valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card held and up to date.
• Experience driving HGVs, preferably in waste/recycling.
• Strong knowledge of drivers' hours regulations and road safety.

Aufgaben

• Drive a Class 2 HGV to collect and transport waste/recyclables.
• Operate a Roll-On/Roll-Off vehicle for deliveries/collections.
• Ensure loads and skips are handled safely and securely.

We're recruiting an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join an established waste management and recycling operation based in Purton, Wiltshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver looking for full-time, ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

You'll be operating a Class 2 vehicle as part of a busy RORO (Roll-On/Roll-Off) and recycling operation, helping transport waste and recyclable materials safely and efficiently.

What Does the Role Involve?

• Driving a Class 2 HGV to collect and transport waste and recyclable materials.
• Operating a Roll-On/Roll-Off (RORO) vehicle, carrying out collections and deliveries to designated sites.
• Ensuring skips, containers and loads are handled safely and securely.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
• Following all road safety regulations, drivers' hours rules and health and safety procedures.
• Ensuring all collections and deliveries are completed efficiently and professionally.
• Completing relevant paperwork and operational documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and roadworthy vehicle.
• Working independently while supporting the wider operations team when required.

What We're Looking For

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• A good understanding of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.
• A reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• A commitment to health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous RORO, skip, waste management or recycling experience would be an advantage. However, if you have solid Class 2 driving experience and the right attitude, we'd be keen to hear from you.
