Job summary

Daval Associates are recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver for a client in the Farnham GU9 area. You will drive a refuse lorry, assist loaders and collect/empty bins from residential premises across multiple sites.

Requirements include UK HGV Class 2 licence (12 months), digital tachograph and CPC cards, plus good teamwork and communication. Immediate start; temp to perm; holiday pay offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving.
• UK HGV Class 2 licence with at least 12 months experience is required.
• Good teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a refuse lorry (Class 2).
• Collect refuse from different local areas daily.
• Assist with loading and emptying bins; ensure all tasks are completed.

Pay: £17.50 per hour

Bonus: £250 after full 4 weeks of driving and £250 after full 8 weeks of driving

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday | 6.00 am till 3 pm

Daval Associates are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client based in the Farnham, GU9 area. Our client who specialises in Waste Management is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.

Successful candidates may be assigned to various sites within the area.

Duties & Responsibilities

The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed.

A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential.

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
• Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely

Requirements

• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months)
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card
• Good team working skills and good communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
