Job summary

The Best Connection Manchester is recruiting an experienced RORO Skip Driver (Roll-On Roll-Off / Hook Loader) for long-term opportunities with a growing client. You will handle safe collection, transport, and exchange of skips within the local area, presenting a professional image and ensuring safety at all times.

Role requires valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and tachograph card, with preference given to those with RORO/hook loader experience.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• CPC qualification card is required.
• Digital Tachograph card is required.
• Experience with RORO/Hook Loader, waste management or recycling is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of driver regulations and transport compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Roll-On Roll-Off (RORO) Hook Loader vehicle.
• Deliver, collect and exchange skips at customer sites.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Ensure loads are secured and transported in compliance with regulations.
• Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Adhere to Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Health & Safety legislation.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and road safety standards.

The Best Connection - Manchester are currently recruiting for an experienced RORO Skip Driver (Roll-On Roll-Off / Hook Loader Driver) on behalf of our well-established client. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and reliable driver seeking long-term employment with a growing company.

The Role

As a RORO Skip Driver, you will be responsible for the safe collection, transportation, delivery, and exchange of roll-on roll-off skips throughout the local area. You will represent the company professionally while ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Pay & Hours

• £17.50 per hour flat rate
• Day shifts with a 6:00am start
• Weekly pay
• Opportunity to secure a permanent position
• Immediate start available for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Roll-On Roll-Off (RORO) Hook Loader vehicle
• Delivering, collecting, and exchanging skips at customer sites
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
• Ensuring loads are secured and transported in compliance with regulations
• Completing all necessary paperwork and electronic records accurately
• Providing excellent customer service at all times
• Adhering to Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Health & Safety legislation
• Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and road safety

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous RORO, Hook Loader, Skip, Waste Management, or Recycling experience is preferred
• Good knowledge of driver regulations and transport compliance
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable and professional attitude
