Job summary

Driver Hire Reading are recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for skip lorry work with a well-established operator in the waste and aggregates sector.

This role offers Monday to Friday with ongoing work, guaranteed hours and overtime. You will operate Class 2 skip vehicles, perform vehicle checks, and maintain safety, with clear paperwork and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tacho Card.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar driving role.
• Experience within waste, aggregates or construction preferred.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operating Class 2 skip vehicles on local routes.

Driver Hire Reading are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for skip lorry work with a well-established operator in the waste and aggregates sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent weekday work with overtime available.

The Role

• Operating Class 2 skip vehicles on local routes
• Delivering and collecting skips safely and efficiently
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness
• Accurately completing paperwork and job sheets
• Maintaining communication with the transport office
• Adhering to all health & safety and driving regulations

Pay Rates (PAYE)

• £18.00 per hour - Basic (up to 45 hours)
• £23.00 per hour - Overtime (after 45 hours)

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tacho Card
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
• Experience within waste, aggregates or construction preferred
