Job summary

Orbital Recruitment Limited in Ilkeston is seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 drivers to join a busy transport operation.

The role involves collections and deliveries across customer sites, depots and processing facilities, with overtime opportunities and variable routes depending on vehicle type and business needs.

You will need a valid Class 1 C+E or Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, Digital tachograph card, and good UK geographical knowledge. Previous HGV driving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Good UK geographical knowledge.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Flexibility around overtime and occasional additional hours.

Responsibilities

• Completing pre-start vehicle checks.
• Reporting defects and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Liaising with customers and site teams.
• Securing loads correctly where required.

Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers

Location: Ilkeston

Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Hours: Approx. 40 - 60 hours per week

Pay: £15 per hour + 1.25x overtime

• Operating Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles safely and professionally
• Following daily routes and delivery schedules
• Completing pre-start vehicle checks
• Reporting defects and maintaining accurate paperwork
• Liaising with customers and site teams
• Securing loads correctly where required
• Following company and road safety procedures

You will need:
