Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking a Class 1 Tanker Driver in Rugby. You will operate HGV Class 1 Tanker with training provided if needed, perform vehicle checks and secure loads according to safety procedures. Candidates should have 12 months of commercial driving experience, a valid UK DCPC card and Digi-tacho card.

The role offers daily responsibilities with opportunities for overtime and weekly pay, and immediate starts are available for qualified drivers.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence held and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are required.
• Up to 6 points may be accepted on licence; DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements not accepted.
• Driver must comply with WTD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 Tanker (Tanker training provided if required).
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep cab and trailer clean.
• Ensure loads are placed and secured correctly.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to site safety procedures and maintain high standards of work.

Class 1 Tanker Driver - Role & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 1 Tanker (Tanker training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately
• All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
