Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking a Class 1 Tanker Driver (non ADR) based in Skelmersdale. You will operate an HGV1 tanker, perform daily checks, and ensure loads are secured while adhering to site safety procedures.

The role requires a Class 1 licence, 12 months of commercial driving experience, a valid UK DCPC card, and a Digi-tacho card. Benefits include weekly pay and overtime opportunities. VISA or relocation assistance is not provided.

Job Title: Class 1 Tanker Driver (non ADR)

Location: Skelmersdale

Pay Rate: £18.29 to £24.50 p/h

£18.29 + £2.21 holiday pay = £20.50

£21.86 + £2.64 holiday pay = £24.50

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 06:00 starts - Some nights out required (£25 per night)

Experience: 12 months Class 1 essential

Assessment: Yes - required before start (full Tanker training provided)

Role & Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 1 Tanker (Non ADR)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately
• All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
