Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is recruiting for a Class 1 Tanker Driver in Rugby. You will operate HGV Class 1 Tanker vehicles, perform routine checks and complete daily paperwork while ensuring loads are secured and compliant with safety procedures.

The role requires a Class 1 Licence with at least 12 months driving experience, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho. Endorsements DD/TT/DR/CD/IN are not accepted; candidates should be able to travel to site for shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class 1 Driving Licence and 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and valid Digi-tacho card.
• No DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements; up to 6 points accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 Tanker and ensure loads are secured.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintain cab/trailer cleanliness.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and follow site safety procedures.
• Travel to and from site for shifts as required.

Class 1 Tanker Driver - Role & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 1 Tanker (Tanker training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately
• All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
