Job summary

Gi Group are recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for a leading parcel network in Darlington. Shifts are afternoon, ad-hoc with Mon-Fri and weekend work available; typical shift around 12 hours.

Rates: Mon-Fri £20.34/h, weekend up to £26.25/h. Rates include holiday pay. Must have 12 months Class 1 experience, Tachograph & CPC, and good customer service. Penalty points limited to six.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
• Hold a valid Tachograph & CPC.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DD/ IN/ DR/ DN/ TT codes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle checks and trunking work to depots and hubs.
• Prioritise workload to meet time commitments.

GI Group are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of the worlds leading parcel delivery networks in Darlington (DL1).

Drivers shifts:

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available
• Average 12-hour shift

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits:

• Monday to Friday - £20.34 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Saturday - £23.52 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Sunday - £26.25 per hour
• *Please note these rates are inclusive of holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots and Hubs
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Have good customer service skills
• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
