Job summary

Gi Group in Gloucester is seeking HGV Class 1 Drivers for afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis, with trunking to depots and hubs and a focus on timeliness.

Rates include holiday pay: Mon-Fri £20.34 per hour, Saturday £23.52, Sunday £26.25; overtime after 8 hours is £25.25 per hour. This is a flexible, on-demand driving role.

Applicants must hold a valid Tachograph and CPC, have no more than 6 penalty points, and at least 12 months Class 1 driving experience with strong customer service skills.

Job description

GI Group are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of the worlds leading parcel delivery networks in Gloucester (GL2).

Drivers shifts

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis.

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits

• Monday to Friday - £20.34 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Saturday - £23.52 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Sunday - £26.25 per hour

*Please note these rates are inclusive of holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots and Hubs
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Have good customer service skills
• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
