Job summary

Gi Group UK is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a leading parcel delivery network in Newcastle (NE37). Shifts include Monday to Friday with 12-hour average days; weekend work may be available.

Pay rates from £20.34 per hour weekdays, with overtime and weekend premiums, inclusive of holiday pay. Main duties include vehicle checks, trunking to depots/hubs, and prioritising workload to meet time commitments.

Qualifications

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• Hold a valid Tachograph & CPC.
• Have good customer service skills.
• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes.

Responsibilities

GI Group are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of the worlds leading parcel delivery networks in Newcastle (NE37).

Drivers shifts:

• (Apply online only) starts
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available
• Average 12-hour shift

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits:

• Monday to Friday - £20.34 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Saturday - £23.52 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Sunday - £26.25 per hour

*Please note these rates are inclusive of holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots and Hubs
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements:
