Job summary

GI Group is actively recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for Reading (RG2). The role is for afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis with approx. 12-hour days.

Typical pay includes £20.34 per hour Mon-Fri, £23.52 Sat, £26.25 Sun, with overtime rates after 8 hours. Candidates must have at least 12 months experience, a valid Tachograph & CPC, and up to 6 penalty points. The main duties include vehicle checks, trunking to depots and hubs, and prioritising workloads to meet time commitments.

Job description

GI Group are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of the worlds leading parcel delivery networks in Reading (RG2).

Drivers shifts:

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis.

- 1300-2030 starts

- Monday to Friday

- Average 12-hour shift

- Monday to Friday - £20.34 per hour

- Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour

- Saturday - £23.52 per hour

- Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour

- Sunday - £26.25 per hour

*Please note these rates are inclusive of holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include:

- Conducting Vehicle checks

- Trunking work to depots and Hubs

- Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements:

- A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.

- No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes

- Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC

- Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
