Job summary

GI Group are recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for a leading parcel network in Southampton (SO30). Afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis, with Mon-Fri availability and weekend work possible. Typical shift length around 12 hours and rates include holiday pay.

Pay scales start at £20.34 per hour on weekdays, with overtime at £25.25; Saturday at £23.52 and Sunday at £26.25. Duties include vehicle checks, trunking to depots/hubs, and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
• Presentable appearance, eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD/IN/DR/DN/TT codes.
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC.
• Have good customer service skills.

Drivers shifts

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available
• Average 12-hour shift

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits

• Monday to Friday - £20.34 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Saturday - £23.52 per hour
• Overtime (After 8 hours) - £25.25 per hour
• Sunday - £26.25 per hour

Note these rates are inclusive of holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements
