Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for Burton-on-Trent-based work. The role involves cage deliveries to Hobbycraft stores, with occasional pallets, and day/night shifts from Sunday to Thursday. Regular, ongoing work and a modern fleet are offered.

Applicants require UK Class 1 licence, CPC, tachograph card and 2 years of experience. Competitive pay (£18.04–£19.79 per hour) with weekly pay and full induction provided.

• 2 years of commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC).
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cages to Hobbycraft stores; occasional pallets may occur.
• Return salvage and manage delivery paperwork accurately.
• Handle day and night cage deliveries; adhere to site processes.
• Ensure safe delivery and maintain vehicle/equipment.

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Deliveries are primarily caged deliveries to Hobbycraft stores
  • There may be the occasional pallet, but the vast majority of the work is cage-based
• Drivers are responsible for:
  • Delivering cages into the store
  • Returning salvage
  • Managing the delivery paperwork/process correctly
  • Both day and night drivers will physically handle the cage deliveries
  • Night Deliveries Airlock Process

What We're Looking For

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
